Hi,

there IS a free fortran compiler around, though it's "only" Fortran 77, and
not from Lahey.
Got to www.salfordsoftware.com, and choose "compilers", then FTN77 PE
(personal edition),
or directly: http://www.salfordsoftware.com/compilers/ftn77pe/index.shtml

Have a lot of fun ! (using MS Windows).
