Hello Everybody,
I'm just a freshman ELF90 user and I've been receiving the LF
Digest for just a few weeks. During this time I've learned a lot
from so many experienced FORTRAN programmers. (I'm afraid maybe I
should keep on just learning :-) ). My experince as to execution
times of programs running in background is that they may vary
according to the time slices used by the processor for this task.
So the do loop pause control will have to be calibrated
accordingly in case you are running an application in foreground.
If you are running more than one application in background the do
loop will have to be calibrated accordingly and so on. So in my
opinion the duration of the pause will be more accurate if done
by the use of the internal clock as was suggested previously by
somebody .
