I'm considering buying a computer with a dual booting system with Windows 2000 and XP. The computer would have two separate hard drives, each with a different operating system. The purpose would be to run F77L/EM32 and LF90 programs on 2000 and LF95 programs on XP.
Has anyone had any success (or failure) running Fortran in this manner?
Thanks for any input.

There is no reason for this not work; especially with two separate hard drives.

Win2000 likely will be unable to run EM32 and any executables (DOS-extended) that it produces if the OS has "Hotfix 835732" installed. This was noticed a few years ago by others on the Lahey list server forum, and I found it to be the case. By uninstalling that hotfix I was able to regain use of EM32 under Win2000. With XP, no such luck.
Some may argue that if you have Win2000 available, why sandbag yourself with XP at all?
