View Full Version : Fortran 77 and Windows 2000
Hi there,
I have any computers with Windows 2000.
When Fortran 77 runs on some computers, it gives me the error: "stake fault".
While there are not errors with the other computers.
What is the problem??
Thanks.
Bye

The Lahey Fortran 77 generation of compilers are not compatible with Windows 2000 or XP.
To be compatible with Windows 2000 and XP you'll need to upgrade to a current compiler release. Lahey Home Page (http://www.lahey.com)
There is not a fix for this issue. You must use the product on a supported operating system, see the documentation.

I was having the same problem, that programs written on Fortran 77 weren't running on Windows 2000. The temporary solution for that problem was to unistall the Microsoft Security Patch KB835732.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS04-011.mspx will give you more about this security patch, and other ways to get protected.
