Hello,

The company I work for is running Fortran F77L/EM-32 v5.2...

The issue is that with Windows 2000 with SP4, when I run the programs and go to minimize the screen or the screen saver kicks in, the program will be frozen and the monitor goes into power save mode. The only way to get out is through task manager and end program.

tab for program says - Pr18765 - TOOL - FROZEN

We have turned off all power save abilities for the monitor, we had to remove the latest security patch for windows to run the programs.

I have been told it is a graphics issue, but the programs will run and operate just fine until they are minimized. The Black Beard editor on this machine seems to work fine but it does not have graphics.

Is it a incompatiblity problem with the graphics in the old compiler and Windows 2000 graphics? I was using NT 4.0 before.

We have bought v7.0 but it is going to be awhile before the upgrade.

I have used other forums to help me out of jams with other engineering software, hoping this one can too.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry but F77L-EM/32 and the programs it generates are not compatible with Windows 2000. Our experience has been that they will not even run, producing a abnormal program termination when run on Windows 2000 with current security updates applied.

Windows XP has the same problem. The only resolution that we can offer is to use a 32 bit compiler like LF v7.0, or our current release v7.1.
